South American Wine Tasting

March Wine Club dinner at the Hanover Golf Club – exploring some interesting South American wines with Ryan as our tour guide from Republic National Distributing Company . Chef Thomas’s plated pairings were Kingfish Crudo (was that like sushi?! – not everyone at our table was open to trying) with the Alta Vista Brut (nice dry, crisp bubbly); Humitas with Veramonte Sauv Blanc (did not care for either until put together – nice one Chef!); Grilled Quail with Montes Rose (easy drinkable light wine – the quail was perfection); Hanger Steak Asada with Alta Vista Malbec (best peppery pairing of the night); Alfajores with Alta Vista Cab Sauv (deconstructed dessert – tasty togetherness with this smooth smoky Cab). Service at the club was outstanding as usual, they do an incredible job of providing a large number of people a fine dining experience!
