A highly recommended wine and food experience at Henley on Grace - the number of excellent and interesting wines on their list is so worth it, we'll be going back for more! We started with a bubbly, Montsarra Cava Brut and paired it with the Smoked Salmon Crostini - next we had the Grattamacco Bolgheri Rosso and Maison Chanzy Bourgogne Pinot Noir with the Truffle Mushroom Bread - pairing preference was the Pinot Noir. Between courses, we had an interesting white, the Botromagno Falanghina. We then progressed with two different whites to go with two different seafood entrees. The Bordeaux Blanc Chateau Haut-La Pereyre with Seafood Risotto special and the Costamolino Vermentino with the Fresno Seafood Pasta. Also on the menu was a tomato bisque with mussels, enjoyed by another patron at the bar - will have to try on another visit! We ended the evening with two after dinner drinks we've been wanting to try - Rainwater Broadbent Madeira and 10yr Tawney Broadbent Duoro - of course we had to indulge in the chocolate cake! Had no room for the pistachio cake, but got a pic from another happy diner. Can't wait to return and try more delicious pairings!
