Spanish Wine Tasting
This new chef is on point! Thank you Hanover Golf Club for our trip to Catalunya! Starting with a couple of bubblies - the Frexenet Cava was a nice compliment to the Cana de Cabra cheese dish and the Campo Viejo Rose was a great balance with the salty sardine and mushroom salad. Did not care for the Familia Torres Sol White until it was paired with the beautifully presented stone fruit and jamon dish - then wow! On to reds, the Penedes Cab Sauv was smooth with a bit of pepper and went nicely with the flank, cheese, pepper dish - more please! Finishing the evening with an uninspiring Gran Clos Priorat Les Mines (aka 'church port') but the dessert made up for it tens times - Chocolaty, nutty, honeyed goodness - overall great evening with family & friends!!
