Italian Wine Tasting
April Wine Club dinner at the Hanover Golf Club was a fun experience with new members, new wines and new pairings! Kristen gave us some great insights on these Italian wines brought to us by Trinchero Family Estates and Republic National Distributing Company - Chef Thomas wowed us again with some really creative plates - Poached Clams with the Arneis (light, crisp, effervescing) was one the favs, Braised Lamb with San Polo Toscana (100% Sangiovese, stainless) was super smooth, Porchetta/Farro dish with the Vitiano Rosso (Sangio/Merlot/Blend) was a surprisingly nice pairing, the Oxtail Raviolo dish was interesting, the wine pairing was a melt in your mouth Merlot (best red of the evening - we don't care what they say in Sideways!) - finished with the White Chocolate Yogurt dessert with the Avissi Prosecco - there was no dumping at this table - every wine was very much enjoyed by all - outstanding job and service HGC team!!
