Australian Wine Tasting

Another great dinner at the Hanover Golf Club - this one was a trip to Australia courtesy of the Trinchero Family Estates family of wines. We first tasted a Naturalis Sauvignon Blanc that was very lite, crisp and fresh - paired well with the Roasted Beet Salad; next was an excellent Naturalis Chardonnay paired perfectly with Crab Cake/Corn Salad with cilantro lime aioli; third course moved on to reds with a dry, light Naturalis Cabernet Sauvignon and Grilled Lamb Chop; followed up with personal favorite of the evening Angove Shiraz and a BBQ Chicken Lollipop; the finale was a full-bodied, jammy, not-too-sweet Hopes End Brandy Barrel Cabernet that went perfectly with a rich dark chocolate cake. And yes, we had to make a few purchases to enjoy several of these at home!
